See You At The Crossroads
“Tha Crossroads” is a remixed version of the E. 1999 Eternal track “Crossroad”. It debuted at #2 in the US, and then moved to the top spot the following week, the quickest move to #1 in the US since the Beatles did it in 1964 with “Can’t Buy Me Love”. The single held the #1 spot for eight weeks making it the longest-running rap song to hold the top position since Kris Kross' “Jump” in 1992, and was later ranked the #7 song of 1996 by Billboard.
It was written in remembrance of those who’ve died. While the original version “Crossroad” primarily dealt with the death of their friend Wally Laird III, this version was done after the death of close friend and mentor Eazy-E. It is the more famous of the versions.
Apr 10, 2018 - You finally reach the titular crossroad, unmolested by the titular bandits. It's got one of those charming signs with a bunch of arrows pointing in.
The original track samples Joe Delia’s “Bad Ending” and The Isley Brothers' “Make Me Say It Again Girl (Part 1 & 2)”. However, Joe Delia’s “Bad Ending” is not featured in this remix.
